Carissa Thomas was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, and earned her Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in mathematics from the University of Nevada, Reno (2022). Not two weeks after graduating, she joined MacLean Financial Group as a bookkeeper in May 2022, and swiftly ascended to Director of Operations by January 2024.

As Director of Operations at MacLean Financial Group, she seamlessly blends the roles of office manager and bookkeeper, orchestrating the company's administrative and financial functions with finesse.

Carissa is a Notary Public, and holds certifications in QuickBooks Desktop, as well as Intuit Bookkeeping. Committed to staying at the forefront of financial technology, she's dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge tools in her work. Alongside her certifications, she's actively pursuing CPA certification and expanding her expertise through UNR classes.

In her free time, she serves as Secretary on local non-profit Urban Roots' Board of Directors, striving to change the way communities eat and learn through garden-based education. When she isn't working or attending accounting classes, she practices yoga, meditation, and running to keep her balanced.
